Detained U.S. Nurse Starts Hunger Strike
From Times Wire Reports
An American nurse detained in Indonesia’s troubled Aceh province for alleged visa violations has gone on a hunger strike to protest delays in her trial, her attorney said. They have been charged with violating the terms of their tourist visas by contacting rebels of the Free Aceh Movement. Both deny the charges, which carry a maximum five-year jail sentence.
