It Seems Richardson Is Probable
Quentin Richardson will be activated from the injured list today.
Unless he’s not.
The Clippers wouldn’t say for certain Thursday what they would do with Richardson, their top reserve guard. It’s expected that Richardson will be activated, but will play only a few minutes tonight against the Denver Nuggets.
Coach Alvin Gentry said the Clippers “probably are going to activate him” in time to play tonight. Gentry also said, “The possibility is greater that he will be activated rather than stay on the injured list.”
Richardson sat out six games while recovering from a bruised right knee and is eager to return, and the Clippers want to make sure he’s sound before turning him loose.
“I still need to get my legs under me,” Richardson said after practicing with his teammates for the first time since going on the injured list Nov. 12.
