Future of ‘Sex’ undecided
No decision has been made on the future of “Sex and the City,” Home Box Office said Tuesday, despite a comment by one of the stars that the Emmy-winning comedy would end next year.
Co-star Cynthia Nixon, in an interview with Fox News Channel, indicated the coming season would be the show’s last. As it stands, the program is scheduled to resume production in March, after cutting its schedule short this year because of star-producer Sarah Jessica Parker’s pregnancy.
HBO does not have a deal on the series that goes beyond next year but the possibility of securing one remains, network insiders said. New episodes of the show probably will return next summer.
