Wyndham Settles Suit Over Energy Charges
Reuters
Hotel operator Wyndham International Inc. could owe past guests up to $58.5 million in discounts under settlement terms of a class-action lawsuit alleging it hid an energy surcharge levied during the 2001 power crisis, the plaintiffs’ attorney said.
Dallas-based Wyndham, which has posted terms of the April settlement on its Internet site, said separately that Florida’s attorney general has filed another lawsuit over similar allegations.
Wyndham shares closed up 9 cents at $1.24 on the NYSE.
