Sammies White Chick Is a Picture of Consistency
Sammies White Chick will try to extend a lengthy streak in tonight’s seventh race.
A 4-year-old gray daughter of Chicks Beduino who has won three times, Sammies Chick has been second or better in six consecutive races. The only time she finished off the board was when she was fourth in her debut Nov. 3, 2000.
Trained by Adan Farias for owner Felix Gonzalez, Sammies Chick was impressive in her latest victory on May 9. Breaking from the outside post in a field of nine, she won by 13/4 lengths going 350 yards.
She drew the outside again tonight going 350 and will be ridden for the first time by Dennis Means.
Three races earlier, another sharp horse will try to extend his win streak to three. Cielo Apache, a 4-year-old thoroughbred gelding, will step up to the $5,000 level for trainer Felix Gonzalez after winning for $2,500 on May 10 and for $3,200 eight days later.
The picks: 1. Nothing No Personal. 2. Amazing Proof. 3. Devine Diva. 4. Cielo Apache. 5. Talking Tactics. 6. Mustang Pilot. 7. Sammies White Chick. 8. A Big Shot Of Brandy.
