Future Plans

Kudos to the L.A. school system’s District C team for requiring high school students to think about their lives after graduation in a meaningful way (“No Plans, No Graduation Rite, Seniors Told,” May 7). What’s the point of school accountability if students don’t have a plan? In today’s economy, students need more than a high school diploma. Without college or additional training, a high school diploma is a ticket to nowhere.
