It’s a Day of Rest for the Hoosiers
Question: What can Indiana players expect to do at today’s practice?
Answer: Nothing. Indiana has a policy of not practicing on Sunday. Especially on Easter Sunday. Coach Mike Davis, a religious man, says he will stay with his plan.
“We’re going to stick with our same routine that we’ve been doing since I’ve been here,” Davis said. “The guys have a day to rest. It’s Easter, they can go to church if they want to.”

Hey, what’s this, an athlete who has put a victory in its proper context?
Indiana sophomore guard A.J. Moye was asked if the Hoosiers have “shocked the world,” with their tournament performance.
“I don’t think that we shocked the world,” Moye said. “We may have shocked some sports analysts, but I don’t think that we shocked the world.”

No way Indiana beats Oklahoma with two of its top scorers, Tom Coverdale and Jared Jeffries, combing for only 11 points, right?
Wrong.
Coverdale finished with only three points and Jeffries had eight.
“If someone told me that was what those guys would score, I would have thought our chances were pretty slim,” forward Kyle Hornsby said.
“It just shows the depth of this team. I thought Coverdale was about 75% to 80% tonight and he was missing a lot of his explosiveness.”

Oklahoma senior Daryan Selvy said Indiana reminded him of Big 12 Conference-rival Texas Tech, which shouldn’t be surprising with former Hoosier coach Bob Knight coaching the Red Raiders.
“Indiana goes harder than Texas Tech,” Selvy said, “and has better players too.”

Indiana had to feel good about its chances when Jeffries banked in a three-point shot from the top of the key at the start of the second half. Before the game, the Hoosiers were 16-1 this season and 22-4 over the last two seasons when the sophomore forward made a three-pointer.
