Two Held in Killing of Aspiring Actress, 19
Two people have been charged with the “revenge” murder of aspiring actress Adriana Pinon, an extra on the television soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”
Pinon, 19, was found shot to death Jan. 31 in her parents’ home in the Skyline neighborhood of San Diego.
Hugo Ariel Jimenez, 19, and Brian Aquino, 17, pleaded not guilty to burglary and murder charges Friday in San Diego Superior Court.
Police Lt. Mike Hurley said Jimenez had wanted a “personal relationship” with Pinon but she declined. “In revenge for being spurned,” Hurley said, “the two [Jimenez and Aquino] went to the Pinon house to rob Ms. Pinon, which led to her murder.”
