Airlines Bite the Hand That Once Fed Them
I am incensed that three airlines have now curtailed payments to travel agents [“2 Airlines Join Delta in Commission Cuts,” March 19]. Agents made the airline industry. Talk about biting the hand that once fed them!
It is the height of arrogance and with total disdain for the customer that these carriers expect travelers to spend precious time trying to figure out flights from a Web site.
Lastly, most travelers do not know that a ticket reservation made online (e-ticket) is worthless if a carrier cancels a flight and the traveler must seek travel on another airline.
