Driver Killed in Crash While Fleeing Police

A 21-year-old driver pursued by sheriff’s deputies was killed when his car crashed into a concrete wall and two parked vehicles early Monday, authorities said.
Alejandro Ramos of Los Angeles died at 1:20 a.m. on Olympic Boulevard, west of Lorena Street. A passenger, also in his early 20s, was in critical condition at County-USC Medical Center, police said.
Deputies saw the car speeding and weaving erratically and briefly gave chase, then lost sight of it until the crash, he said.
