Drugs, Parenthood Are a Dangerous Mix

I agree with Sandy Banks (“So Where Were the Children’s Fathers?,” March 5).

Every addict with children should be in recovery. Every addict without children should remain without children.

Marlene Heath was too drunk to care about the suffering and death she caused her two sons, and her alcoholism is no excuse. What about before she got “too drunk” to care? Did she care about her sons then? People who don’t qualify to adopt a dog from the pound are allowed to have children. Poor little things.
