Where Have You Been Lately?

The City Council in L.A. is a full-time job. Other than holidays we get one break, the last two weeks in August. I decided to go to St. George in southwestern Utah to do the outdoors thing, get some rest and clear the head a bit. If I wasn’t going on a hike, I was rock climbing. I would spend the balance of the day relaxing. It was absolutely beautiful. One hike was 6.5 miles, from the low desert to the high desert. In the highest elevation, there were pines and aspens. One thing that caught me by surprise was I forgot Utah has different rules when it comes to alcohol. I remember my first night looking forward to a nice glass of wine and being quickly educated.

Discovery: The Coyote Inn is somewhat minimalist but comfortable. I wasn’t looking for high-speed Internet connection in the room.
