Sharks Beat Capitals
Teemu Selanne scored a power-play goal while tumbling to the ice with 3:39 to play as the San Jose Sharks blew a three-goal lead but beat the Washington Capitals, 5-4, Friday night at San Jose.
Jaromir Jagr scored his second goal of the night with 5:59 left to cap Washington’s comeback, but Selanne punched home a loose puck for his 24th goal of the season to give San Jose its fourth victory in five games.
The Sharks increased their Pacific Division lead over the Kings and Phoenix to five points.

Florida 5, Buffalo 2--Sandis Ozolinsh and Ivan Novoseltsev set a Florida record by scoring goals in an eight-second span, giving the Panthers a 3-0 lead at 6:06 of the first period at Sunrise, Fla. The Panthers’ season-best unbeaten streak reached four games.

Phoenix 3, Nashville 2--Daymond Langkow and Ladislav Nagy each had a goal and an assist for the Coyotes at Nashville.
The Carolina Hurricanes traded veteran goaltender Tom Barrasso to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a fourth-round draft pick. Since No. 1 goaltender Curtis Joseph broke a finger Feb. 26, the Maple Leafs have been looking for a veteran goaltender to share the load with Corey Schwab.
