Free for the Asking: Cascade Exploring
Eighteen off-road trips in the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California are mapped and described in the brochure “An Adventure Around Every Corner! A Guide to the Shasta Cascade’s Backcountry Roads.” The trips, mostly on gravel or dirt roads, are geared to sports utility vehicles. They range from 25 to 200 miles and from an hour to three days, exploring such sites as Trinity Lake, the Salmon Mountains and the Mt. Shasta region.
