Deal of the Week: Palm Springs
If you’ve never thought of vacationing in Palm Springs in the scorching summer, think again. How does a villa for $59 per night sound? At the Marquis Villas Resort, rated three diamonds by AAA, that’s what you pay if you stay five nights. If you stay for four nights, it’s $69 per night; for three nights, it’s $79 per night; for two nights it’s $89; and for one night it’s $99. For that you get a main room (with sleeper sofa), a bedroom, a private balcony and a kitchen. The villas, which sleep four to six, command up to $225 per night in the winter season. The rate is for weekdays only, Sunday to Thursday nights, through Sept. 30 and is subject to availability. The resort, at 140 Calle Encilia downtown, has a pool, whirlpool and two tennis courts.
