Renowned Southern California architect Rudolf M. Schindler designed this home as the De Keyser Duplex in 1936.

An example of Schindler’s modern work, the duplex is currently being used by a single family.

The house is owned by Margaret Crawford, an architectural historian who taught at UCLA and the Southern California Institute of Architecture before her current post as a professor of architecture at the Harvard Design School in Boston; and her husband, architect Marco Cenzatti, who is a professor of urban planning at the Harvard Design School.
