Border Crossings
Six people are killed and 16 are injured in an accident caused by a van full of illegal immigrants and your June 26 headline is “Deaths of 6 Reignite Border Debate”? What debate? Just because you choose to interview proponents of illegal immigration does not mean there is a debate.
Later you refer to the illegal immigrants as “migrants” and “immigrants” and unbelievably print that “the U.S. crackdown on the border ... also shares the blame by forcing immigrants away from easier and safer routes.” In other words, let’s make it easier and safer for illegal immigrants to cross the border. This is over the top!
