The Joys of Reading

What a joy it was to read Susan Giesberg’s account of her Aunt Thelma’s lifetime love of libraries, “Our Bookshelves, Our Selves,” in the May 26 Opinion section. It really warmed my heart. This story is not only a wonderful tribute to the Fairfax branch of the Los Angeles Public Library and staff but also to Giesberg’s family. From her “personal perspective” I felt as though I had known Tanta Tibe and her family for years. Thanks for the memories.
