Three Men Flee With Cash Stolen from Bank
Three men wearing stockings over their heads and carrying handguns stole an unspecified amount of money from a Washington Mutual bank branch in Seal Beach on Saturday, police said.
Witnesses told police three men entered the bank on Seal Beach Boulevard near Leisure World, and two of them grabbed money from a teller’s drawer.
They escaped with the cash and fled in a stolen car that was found abandoned along the southbound lanes of the San Diego Freeway, south of Seal Beach Boulevard, officials said.
Police responded after bank employees activated an alarm system, but the robbers had already fled.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Seal Beach Police Department at (562) 799-4115.
