Moby’s Formula
I first saw Moby in 1998 in a small, run-down venue (“What Do You See, Moby?” by Robert Hilburn, May 12). He came out late because he was a bit under the weather. I was amazed at the way Moby got the crowd moving. People were jumping, singing and worry-free for those two hours.
After that show, I saw him in Toronto at the Area:One show and I became convinced he is a genius. After seeing such acts as U2 twice, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Paul Oakenfold and others, I can safely say Moby is a top contender. The Chemical Brothers are my favorite because they brought me into the music.
