Jimmy Brettl pitched six innings of four-hit ball with six strikeouts, Vance Lynch drove in two runs and scored twice as he went three for three, and Alex Crooks hit a three-run homer to help San Gabriel Valley advance to the finals of the Pacific Southwest Regional Babe Ruth 16-18 tournament with an 11-3 victory over Watsonville at Galt, Calif.
San Gabriel Valley, which is unbeaten, plays the loser’s bracket survivor at 5:30 tonight.
