Father Shoots and Kills Son, Self Outside School
From Times Staff Reports
A father picking up his son from a Mission Viejo school for the mentally disabled Monday apparently shot the young man and himself to death in a van parked in front of the school.
Police declined to release their names late Monday, pending notification of relatives.
The shooting occurred about 3 p.m. in a van parked in front of Vocational Visions in the 2300 block of Madero in Mission Viejo said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Both the father, 47, and son, 27, were pronounced dead at the scene.
