Three Men Rob Bank, Flee in Stolen SUV
Three men wearing black ski masks, gloves, sweat clothing and beanie caps robbed a Washington Mutual bank on Edinger Avenue in Huntington Beach on Friday, authorities said.
Investigators were not immediately able to determine how much money was stolen in the noontime robbery, Sgt. Gary Meza said. Meza said dollar bills the suspects dropped as they ran out of the bank were found just outside the entrance.
A stolen maroon sport-utility vehicle used by the suspects was recovered blocks away, he said.
Two customers and 10 staff members were in the bank during the robbery, said Washington Mutual regional spokesman Adrian Rodriguez, but no one was injured.
