Update--Washburn and Ramon Ortiz were the Angels’ best pitchers in the first half, but the Angels delayed Ortiz’s start until Sunday so he’ll be available to start the July 19 series opener against the first-place Seattle Mariners. Washburn has won nine consecutive decisions, tied with Arizona’s Curt Schilling and Oakland’s Barry Zito for the longest winning streak in the majors this season.
