Is It a Ninth to Remember for Crashin Bac?
Claimed two races ago for $12,500, Crashin Bac will try for her first victory for her new connections in tonight’s ninth, a $20,000 claimer at 350 yards.
Owned by Charles Boylas and James Azevedo and trained by Paul Jones, Crashin Bac was last after breaking slowly at 2-1 on May 5, then rebounded with a solid second at 9-2 six weeks later. Despite bobbling at the start, the 3-year-old Splash Bac filly was beaten by only a neck by Al Paca.
Ramon Sanchez, the leading quarter horse jockey at the meet, retains the mount on Crashin Bac, who will leave from post four in the field of six.
