Harvey, Marshall Chosen All-Americans in Soccer
Jordan Harvey, a midfielder and defender for Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley High last season, and Chad Marshall, a defender for Riverside Rubidoux, head a list of six boys’ soccer players from the Southland who have been selected to Student Sports magazine’s All-American teams.
The UCLA-bound Harvey, Gatorade’s national player of the year, and the Stanford-bound Marshall are on the first team.
Second-team members include goalkeeper Nate Pena of Santa Ana Mater Dei and forward Pieter Berger of Irvine Woodbridge.
Third-team members include midfielder Cameron Kolovos of Los Alamitos, The Times’ player of the year, and forward Kiel McClung of Quartz Hill.
McClung will be a senior at Quartz Hill in the fall. The others were seniors last season.
