Blankenship Is Hired to Coach Capistrano Valley
Randy Blankenship, the 1998 state coach of the year while at Fresno Clovis West, has been selected football coach at Capistrano Valley High.
Blankenship has a 173-45-3 record and has won six section titles, four at Clovis West and two at Nevada Union in Grass Valley. He spent two years at Fallbrook, where he went 17-6 and won a league title. He coached last season at Granbury High in Texas, but his family wanted to return to California.
