Driver in Fatal Crash Faces Murder Charge
Anaheim police Wednesday upgraded from manslaughter to murder the charges against an alleged drunk driver whose vehicle collided with another, resulting in the death of the other car’s driver and injury to a passenger.
Ledell Daniel, 35, of La Habra was driving under the influence about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and slammed into the second car, whose driver struck a utility pole at Orangethorpe Avenue near Lemon Street, police said.
The driver of the other car, Jerry Camp, 67, of Anaheim, was killed. His wife remained hospitalized at UCI Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
