Oxnard Police Open New Office
The Oxnard Police Department has opened a drop-in center inside the city’s housing authority office in an effort to increase the presence of law enforcement and give residents more contact with officers.
The office, in the 5200 block of Squires Drive, opened last week. More than 100 residents and neighborhood children attended a reception, which included food and games.
Officers will have around-the-clock access to the center, which is designed to allow residents, particularly those living in the Pleasant Valley Village and Cypress neighborhoods, a place to address safety and community concerns.
