Last year: Mark Calcavecchia shot 65-60-64-67 to set tour 72-hole event records for scoring (256) and birdies (32) and match mark for relation to par (28 under). Rocco Mediate finished second, eight back.
Last week: Phil Mickelson won Bob Hope Classic in first start in five months, with birdies on final three holes of regulation and first of playoff with David Berganio Jr.

TV: Channel 7 (Saturday, noon-3 p.m.; Sunday, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (nine holes daily.)
Players: Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Hale Irwin and Fuzzy Zoeller.
Last year: Irwin, given a second chance when Nicklaus birdied No. 18, birdied the first extra hole to win with $320,000. Nicklaus would have won with $260,000 if he missed four-footer that matched Gary Player’s birdie and sent all four players to playoff.
Last week: Tom Kite won season-opening MasterCard Championship in Kaupulehu-Kona, leading wire-to-wire.
