Bodies of 15 Recovered After Fishing Boat Sinks
From Times Wire Reports
Rescue workers recovered the bodies of 15 fishermen whose boat sank in the Red Sea, police said. The Egyptian navy was still searching for 24 missing fishermen.
The 15 bodies were found off the coast of Ras Gharib, an oil-rich area about 165 miles southeast of Cairo. Police said stormy weather and high seas caused the Egyptian vessel Abu el Fawares to sink Friday.
Another fishing boat came to the rescue after receiving distress signals but pulled only two men to safety. Police said they had received no distress signals.
