Woman Killed When Struck by a Car

A 70-year-old woman walking with her husband died Saturday evening after being struck by a car, authorities said.
The victim was in the crosswalk but walking against a red light when she was hit by a vehicle as it traveled east on Glenoaks Boulevard at Lanark Street just before 5:30 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The woman died at the scene, he said.
The driver was not cited, police said.
