Garden Grove Woman’s Body Found in Chino
San Bernardino County authorities are asking the public for information about the Jan. 4 death of a Garden Grove woman.
Maria Pastora Reyes, 21, was last seen Jan. 3 about 11:30 p.m. leaving the 2300 block of 6th Street in Santa Ana and believed to be walking toward her residence in Garden Grove.
Her body was found at 6:45 a.m. the next day lying near Hellman and Pine avenues in the unincorporated area of Chino in San Bernardino County.
Investigators for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department request that friends or acquaintances who may have had contact with Reyes on or about Jan. 3--or anyone with information about her death--call them at (909) 387-3589.
Witnesses wishing to remain anonymous may call (800) 78-CRIME.
“At this point, we’re really looking for any information,” said Robin Haynal, a department spokeswoman.
