A Northern California man who collects movie memorabilia topped 50 other bidders in an online charity auction held by New Line Cinema for a Triumph motorcycle used in the Tom Cruise movie “M:I-2,” the follow-up to “Mission: Impossible” (Highway 1, Dec. 5).

The bidder, who asked New Line not to disclose his name, paid $14,103 for the Triumph Speed Triple, one of two bikes that survived the filming of “M:I-2” (eight of the 955-cc Triumph motorcycles were used).

New Line said it received 51 bids on the bike, which was enhanced by the film’s special-effects crew with bullet holes in the body panels and rearview mirror. Bidding closed Dec. 18.
