Real Estate Agent Pleads Not Guilty in Fraud Case
An Oxnard real estate agent has pleaded not guilty to charges of grand theft and making a false financial statement in connection with a scheme to secure a home loan using false information.
Elise Long, 42, was arraigned last week, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Howard Wise.
Long will be back in court March 25 for a pretrial hearing, Wise said.
She is accused of securing a $231,200 loan for a borrower by using the name and Social Security number of a Perris man who had no idea the transaction had been made, said Det. Rick Kline.
