Indian Influence

Re “Tribes Benefit in Campaign Bill,” Feb. 23: Indian tribes are governments--sovereign entities like state, local, foreign and the United States federal governments. We don’t allow any of these other governments to contribute either soft or hard money to national political parties or campaigns. Indian tribes should be treated no differently; they should not be permitted to influence the political processes of our nation.
