Thousand Oaks Limits Parking Near City Hall
A two-hour time limit for uncovered parking spaces outside the Civic Arts Plaza and City Hall went into effect this week, officials said.
The new time limit is intended to free up parking spaces for people with quick business at City Hall and to encourage those who need more time to use a covered parking structure at the site.
“Cars have been parked in the outdoor lot all day long and that was never the intended use for the front lot,” City Manager MaryJane Lazz said. The fine for violating the time limit is $40.
There is no time limit for disabled parking anywhere at the site at 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Parking in the covered structure is free.
