Regarding “Making the Leap to Homeownership” by Diane Wedner, Jan. 13:

I would like to add to the list of home-buying programs that were featured. The County of Orange, Housing and Community Development Department, offers, among other programs, the Mortgage Assistance Program, Teachers First-Time Homebuyer Program and Homeownership Incentive for the Recruitment/Retention of Employees, or HIRE, program.
