Zippy Chippy Stays Consistent, Falls to 0-92
True to his sorry reputation, Zippy Chippy, the winless 11-year-old gelding, lost for the 92nd consecutive time Thursday night.
Zippy Chippy, ridden by David Hernandez, finished last in a seven-horse maiden special-weight race at Penn National near Harrisburg, Pa. In a race won by Judge Me Ladies, Zippy Chippy was beaten by 323/4 lengths and finished 20 lengths behind the sixth-place horse.
The footnotes in the official race chart said that Zippy Chippy “dropped back early, saved ground throughout and was outrun.”
Zippy Chippy, who is owned by his trainer, Felix Monserrate, has finished second seven times, and with 12 thirds has earned $29,467.
