Man Held in Truck Theft After High-Speed Chase

A Duarte man remains jailed on suspicion of stealing a pickup truck after he led Ventura County sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase through the San Fernando Valley.
Juan Jose Dominguez Gonzalez, 33, was spotted about 7:15 p.m. Saturday on the Ventura Freeway near Ventu Park Road in a white Chevy truck that had been reported stolen. A deputy chased the truck to Woodland Hills, where it crashed. A second suspect fled.
Gonzalez is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
