Court Sentences Briton, American to Prison
From Times Wire Reports
An Indonesian court sentenced two foreigners to several months in prison today for violating visa rules by associating with rebels in Aceh province.
The court sentenced British academic Lesley McCulloch, 40, to five months and American Joy Lee Sadler, 57, to four. They were detained Sept. 11 in a security sweep. Taking into account time served in detention, Sadler, a nurse from Iowa who has HIV and has been refusing to eat, should be free in two weeks and McCulloch in six.
