No Rest for Unelected
Re John Elfmont’s Dec. 23 letter decrying The Times for publishing letters about the infamous 2000 presidential election, in which he advises, “Give it a rest!” He should be warned that many patriotic Americans will not rest unless and until our votes determine our elected leaders -- not Republican presidents’ appointees to the Supreme Court.
Resign yourself to reading letters about that blot on our democratic escutcheon forever.
