2 Found Dead in House After Report of Gunfire
From Times Staff Reports
Police were puzzled in their investigation of a double murder at a North Long Beach home: Gunfire was reported there Saturday morning, but officers discovered the two victims had died hours earlier.
Long Beach Police Sgt. Paul LeBaron said evidence at the home indicated Richard Smith, 19, and Kendall Adams, 19, both of Long Beach, had been slain long before the 9 a.m. telephone call reporting shots fired at the home in the 800 block of East South Street.
LeBaron said both victims had multiple gunshot wounds, and the two are believed to be related.
