Proposals Call for Quarterly Disclosure

As expected, the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed rules to make Fidelity Investments, Vanguard Group and other mutual funds disclose their stock and bond holdings every quarter instead of twice a year.
The change aims to give shareholders up-to-date information to keep their investments diversified and hold money managers accountable for stated investment strategies, SEC officials said.
