Man Killed as Crash Tips Pickup
A man was killed and two other people were trapped in a collision that overturned a pickup at an Anaheim intersection late Friday.
Rescuers extricated a man and woman from the truck, said Sgt. Rick Martinez, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department. A helicopter airlifted them to a hospital. Their condition was not immediately known.
The accident occurred about 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Savanna Street and Knott Avenue just north of Ball Road, when the Chevy S10 pickup collided with a late-model Ford Explorer, Martinez said.
“Both vehicles were going southbound on Knott approaching Savanna when somehow they collided and the Chevy rolled over,” Martinez said.
The names of those involved were not immediately available and the cause of the accident was under investigation, he said.
