‘Skinwalkers’ saga

I thoroughly enjoyed your background article on PBS’ “Skinwalkers” (“The bestseller they couldn’t sell,” Nov. 17). I, and probably all of Tony Hillerman’s loyal readers, have been waiting a very long time to see if his Navajo mysteries would ever be made for television. How fortunate we are that Robert and James Redford have such an avid interest in filming these stories. Adam Beach and Wes Studi -- actors whose work I greatly admire -- have been well cast as Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn.

I haven’t been this excited about television in ages. Thank you, PBS!
