2 Women Are Killed in Early Morning Crash

Two Los Angeles women were killed early Thursday morning when the car in which they were riding veered off Garfield Avenue in Alhambra, crashed into a pillar at the Children’s Montessori Center and overturned, police said.
Police spokesman Dale Andreas said blood alcohol tests had been administered to the unidentified male driver, 24, who remained hospitalized in good condition and had not been arrested.
The names of the women, ages 25 and 26, were not released.
