Heavy Competition for Firefighter Openings

More than a thousand candidates are expected to show up at the city administration building Saturday to apply for two openings on the Oxnard Fire Department.
Applications will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the city’s Human Resources Department, 300 W. 3rd St., at the B Street entrance. Paperwork must be submitted in person.
