Ex-Boyfriend Denies Stalking Anna Nicole

An ex-boyfriend of former Playboy Playmate-turned-reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Van Nuys Superior Court to charges of stalking, making terrorist threats, assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
Mark Richmond Hatten, 34, is accused of repeatedly calling Smith at her North Hollywood home and beating her neighbor after she refused contact with him.
“He’s not Mr. Goodbar. He’s known to have been naughty in the past, but he’s not evil,” said Peter Knecht, Hatten’s attorney.
