Where to Check on Corporate Filings
The Securities and Exchange Commission’s Web site at www.sec.gov lists 947 major companies that the agency ordered to certify financial results with sworn statements by chief executives and chief financial officers.
The SEC site shows the deadlines by which each company must file and whether the statements have been filed. However, the site may not be updated with all of Wednesday’s filings for a day or two, the agency said.
Investors and others also can check a company’s Web site for a news release indicating that the firm has filed its certification documents.
